Davies Creek National Park

Back

The track must be good now, the day we went the track was under repair and we had a difficult time getting past the mounds of dirt and the Grader working.

The start of the park is a good camp area, but we had come for the falls.  Re-reading the map a few times we realised that we had to drive up the road further and the walk may be allot smaller than we thought.

Above:   The falls and viewing area.

Right:   The only orchid we saw in Queensland.  I was edging out to get a shot along the river when Mischa pointed out the orchid  to me.  Almost directly underfoot.

The falls are fed by a quite gentle stream.

Worth a detour!
