As usual we thought we were in the general area where we might find these orchids - so we wandered here , around there and down there, all to no avail. Was this to be another trip without success? Well, we stopped one last time to check out another track - it was bad, even a 4WD could not tackle this one. So we reversed and tried an alternative route. It was an easy walk to the southern ridge line. A small burnt area was noted on the left - why burn a small area we thought? Orchids of course. We looked more closely and soon spotted a colony of Mosquito's. Were these the large? Yes they were, it was obvious. Photographed North-East Victoria
