Details (Vic): Flowering: Flowering September - November, mainly between October and November. Size: Up to 25cm tall, flowers - usually 1or 2, to 60mm across Position: Few locations, mainly western Victoria, Grampians area. Endemic, Vulnerable.

Studies undertaken in Spring 2006 have shown this orchid to be pollinated by native Bees. It is therefore a food deceptive rather than a sexually deceptive orchid. The orchid has a sweet odour that attracts Bees rather than the usual Thynnine Wasps. |
