When I found this orchid it was my lucky day! I actually observed the flower being pollinated. See below: These photos were taken at Anglesea. Only a few were found as these form loose colonies (even a few scattered flowers) and are hard to locate due to the dull colouration of the flowers. When searching for orchids it is a good idea to retrace your steps at times, as seeing the same area from the reverse direction often shows flowers that you missed, mainly I feel, due to the way the Sun hits the plants. |
