Although its tall it can easily be missed when your out searching for it. The interest in this one for me is that the labellum normally down as in the photo opposite, but any slight movement of the plant, the labellum quickly retracts, leaving a plain Jane photo behind. Always a photo challenge. Photographed in the Brisbane National Park and Baluk Willam Flora Reserve. |

Details (Vic): Flowering: May to November, mainly June/September Size: Up to 80cm tall, flower - 15mm Personally I've only seen them to about 40 - 50cm. Position: Grows everywhere, that is widely distributed - among grasses and shrubs in moist open or closed forests and open scrubland Endemic, Secure Formerly: Pterostylis longifolia & Pterostylis Melagramma
