We thought this might be a difficult quest to find this newly defined orchid but in the end we found it in 4 out of 6 locations we tried. Plants were flowering in 3 of the areas. Perhaps we were lucky! On one occasion we had headed bush from a main road as the area "looked good". We headed up a hill and found some Pt. Nana leaves and thought that was good when Mischa told me to freeze as I was inches from the Melagramma we sought. This quite a different orchid from a Smaragdyna and Chlorogrammus. Photographed in the North-West of Victoria. |
