We were at the "type Location" for this orchid, if we could just find it. We were with a group so there was a chance. As we jumped of the road and into a bog we hoped someone would find anything soon. It was wet and both mossies and leeches were about, not the place to stay long at if you had a choice. Lucky for us a plant was found and after a lot of discussion the plant was named as the jeanesii. Photographed around Toorongo. |

Details (Vic): Flowering: Flowering December to February. Size: Up to 55mm tall, flowers - one, to 40mm across. Location: Occurs in mountain areas of Victoria - in damp/wet shaded areas, under bushes. Endemic, Secure.
