Corunastylis despectans Sharp Midge Orchid

These are small, dark orchids and finding them in the forest is a real challenge.  All the Midge orchids are in fact, so look very hard for these ones!

Details (Vic):

Flowering:  Flowering December - June, mainly February to April. 

Size: Up to 15cm tall,  flower - 3 to 10, to 7mm across. 

Position:  Widespread throughout most of Victoria.

Grows in heathlands, woodlands, heathy woodlands and open forests.  Well drained soils.
