A very small (see below) untidy flower in full bloom.  Looking at the complete flower (below) you can see why these are easy to miss on a walk.  You need to stop and look to spot these.

Details (Vic):

Flowering:  Flowering February to May, mainly March to April.

Size: Up to 30cm tall,  flower - 5 - 15, to 8mm across. 

Position:  Widespread, except Mallee, Wimmera and Northern plains.  Found in Heathlands, woodlands, heathy woodlands and open forests.  Soils may be seasonally wet.

Endemic, Secure.
