It was a long drive to this site, it was hot and there was little shade for us.  We started looking and soon found a Courunastylis in flower, not this particular one but worth photographing anyway.  Changing positions I dropped my camera, the strap was too long and the lens hit the ground.  It bent!  After examining the damage we both had a go at realigning the lens barrel.  It would not budge!  Finally one last attempt and click it went back in - and yes it was seated properly and all seemed to be working again.  Pure joy!

We kept looking and finally found this orchid (making 3 for the day). They were in part shade in and open area surrounded by small shrubs on sandy ground.  Fairly harsh conditions overall.

Photographed in the Otways area.
