Details (Vic):

Flowering:  Flowering October to December.

Size: Stem up to 45 cm long,  flowers up to 60, to 5 mm across

Far too common.

Yes, hard to believe that an orchid is a weed but this is one (although not a declared one).  Its home town is in South Africa and was first spotted in WA in 1944 and recently discovered in Victoria (1995), it's also in other states as well.  It is self pollinating and produces vast amounts of seed.  It has up to 3 tubers and messy side roots, all must be removed from the soil if you attempt to dig them up.  Then there's the seed to contend with!

Current control methods are proving ineffective.
