Photographed on various days including 28 October 2012 on open rock faces between Perth and Wagin.

We found the small unique orchids on soil overlying granite rocks, either around the top of the rock or in areas partly down the rocky slope.

We knew where these orchids grew as 3 years ago we were on an orchid tour and our guide casually stated that this was the spot where  Spiculaea grew and it would be flowering in another few weeks.  So in mid October 3 years later, we revisited the site and sure enough there they were - in their hundreds.  As we went around the state and visited more rocks, we continually found these orchids.
