Lillydale Falls

Back

We were staying overnight at the Lillydale free camp and arrived early to do this walk.  It was a bit tricky to find the start as there were no walk signs but we soon realized that there was only one way to the river.  That was under the railway viaduct and yes the walk was obviously starting from here.  Initially it was a nice board  path the followed the train line.  The path crossed the river and the sign said it all - "Walker Only"  The path became a nice forest walking track.  It was a short walk to the first of the 2 falls on this walk.  A stairway leads you down to a viewpoint of the falls.  Here you can rock hop to find different angle to photograph the falls.  Back up to the track again and you see the top of the first falls and then the second falls come into view soon after.  Again a small stairway takes you to the viewpoint.  It's back to camp via a return trip.
